Merdeka's Closing Ceremony

20th September 2013 (Friday) - On this day, there were 3 final activities held . They were the choir, class creativity & fashion competition. All students were free to wear traditional costumes with the theme 'Malaysian Fashion'. Some of them wore fully costumes with the help of their parents' brilliant ideas in order to win the fashion competition. The students also did their best performance in the choir competition although some class did not succeed in getting the top three position. Nevertheless, they enjoyed themselves during their presentation. Some pictures taken during the event.

SCHOOL'S ACTIVITIES

Activities like 'Merdeka' or Independence Day celebration, Activities After UPSR (for Year 6), 'Reading Month' (Library's activities) were done. The school even had visitors (a family) from Australia .. they came to visit the school and see for themselves the lifestyle in our school .. the pupils were so happy to meet them especially the children .. hope there will more visitors to come to our school .. everyone is greatly welcome .. pictures will soon be uploaded .. be patient ..

PROGRAM KEMERDEKAAN 2011

30th September 2011 (FRIDAY): Closing ceremony for the event. The event started since last 1st August 2011 and ended last Friday. The closing ceremony was officiated by the Headmistress, Ms Sabella Alixius & she presented a patriotic speech with three yells of 'merdeka' before ending her speech. Before that, several activities to compete were held for Level 1 & 2 like:
1) Folio Competition
2) Essay Competition
3) Colouring & Drawing Posters Competition
4) Singing Competition
5) Choir Competition
6) Fashion Competition
7) Class Decoration Competition
Every teachers & students took part in the event whereby the event was held in the morning session. All winners (individual, partners or group) were given trophies as well as hampers according to categories. Thanks to all teachers & students for your co-operations. SAMBUTAN KEMERDEKAAN @ MERDEKA 1 MALAYSIA 2010

1. Melibatkan semua murid SK St Mary Papar seramai 309 orang Tahap 1 dan 2.

2. Bertujuan untuk menarik penglibatan semua murid dalam mengumpul koleksi atau bahan berkaitan Kemerdekaan negara. Selain itu, program ini juga mewujudkan semangat patriotik di kalangan murid melalui pengumpulan bahan-bahan tersebut.

3. Dilaksanakan selama 2 bulan (1hb Ogos hingga 1hb Oktober) kerana menghormati bulan Ramadhan dan memberi peluang kepada murid-murid Tahun 6 selesai UPSR supaya mereka boleh turut serta dalam program tersebut.

4. Program tersebut di adakan di kelas & juga Dewan Minda SK St Mary.

5. Melibatkan beberapa aktiviti seperti:
* Penyediaan Dokumentasi berkaitan Kemerdekaan
* Pengumpulan Gambar berkaitan Kemerdekaan
* Pertandingan Koir antara kelas
* Pertandingan Karaoke (lagu patriotik & hari raya)
* Pertandingan Keceriaan Kelas
* Pertandingan Melukis Poster & Mewarna
* Pertandingan Mendeklamasikan Sajak

6. Pelancaran dibuat pada 1hb Ogos dan kemuncak pada 1hb Oktober yang dirasmikan oleh Guru Besar, En Simon Gasis.
